Legally Scrape Threads
Scrape any Threads Users posts & replies using the HAR File Web Scraper on this page. Just visit a profile, like https://www.threads.net/@zuck
and follow the steps below. You can also search on Google for pages, e.g. type in site:threads.net QUERY
into Google to find any page or thread on Threads via Google Search if you don’t know the username.
Profile Scraping
Visit the profile in your web browser, then right click on the page and hit “Inspect” to begin recording your web traffic.
Refresh the page (now with developer tools open), then once everything is loaded, click the “Network” tab and click the down arrow labeled “Export HAR…”
Upload the HAR file here and click the “Parse” button on the group with like_count
in the fields (this should be the first one, but you can just try all of them if unsure).
Download the data you need, you’ll be able to download the list of recent threads and metadata such as number replies, likes, etc…
Thread Replies Scraping
Click on any thread (following the steps above) and record the web traffic just as before, then Export the HAR File.
Upload the HAR file here and look for the group with like_count
in fields (may not be the first one) and click “Parse Group”:
You can then see the usernames of everyone who replied to the thread as well as their content - download that data.
Even More Scraping
If you’re able to log in to threads.net
, you may be able to scrape more data they show (e.g. follower lists, etc…). Give it a try and let us know via our live chat widget if you find anything useful or need help. The HAR File Web Scraper shown here works with ANY website, JSON pattern, etc… so it will “just work” if you find something interesting on Threads you’d like to scrape!
