Effective May 25, 2018

Welcome to our Privacy Policy! We value your privacy and have made this document as easy as possible for you to understand.

This privacy policy highlights what data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do to access and control it. Since some (or all) of this language may be dense, we have summarized main points in blue boxes at the beginning of each section.

1. Personal Information we Collect

Summary

We collect data about you when you:

1.1 Device Information we Collect

When you visit https://stevesie.com, herein known as the "Site," "Service" or "Platform," we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as "Device Information."

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Communications

If you contact us directly or through our website, we may receive additional personal information about you that we collect for the purpose of communicating back to you.

Third Parties

We may receive public information about you from third parties to better serve you and improve our marketing efforts.

1.2 Information you Provide

After creating an account and using our services, we may collect additional information related to your usage.

Servers

Upon creating and using servers launched from our service, we collect certain information from you, including your IP address used to launch the server.

When you proxy network traffic through a server you have launched with us (either via connecting your device to the server or initiating a request from the platform), we collect and save non-sensitive parts of all proxied requests (e.g. hostname and path).

Workers

Workers are entities you create on our platform to make third party network requests on your behalf. For example, you may create a worker to request and save the local weather from a third party every hour. We collect information from you when you create a worker (e.g. the name of the worker).

Vault Entries

Often times a worker will require certain inputs to communicate with a third party, such as a password. To automate requests on your behalf, we allow you to provide values to use repeatedly as a "Vault Entry" and are stored on our servers (encrypted if elected).

Collection Results

If a worker is configured to save responses it receives from third parties, these will be saved and stored on our servers. This data is known as "Collection Results" and may be collected on-demand or automatically if you schedule a worker to run on a schedule.

Payment Information

Credit card information is neither transmitted to nor saved on our servers, and instead sent directly to a third party for processing. We store metadata about your credit card for internal operations and bookkeeping, such as credit card type and expiration date.

2. How we use Your Information

Summary

We use data about you to:

2.1 Operational Usage

We use the data that we collect generally to operate our service on your behalf, including collection and storage of third party data. Additionally, we use your information to:

If you provide an API key to a third party, you are granting this third party consent to access your account data from our service.

Additionally, when you proxy traffic through our service we will forward the IP address you used to launch the server in question to the request receiver.

4.3 Encryption at Rest

At your request, we store sensitive data required to operate workers (such as passwords and API keys) in an encrypted format to provide an additional layer of security.
