Go UPC is the world’s largest product & barcode database (according to their homepage), and claims to have over 40,000,000 products in their database, which we can confirm is one of the largest databases we’ve seen. Not only that, but their pricing is very reasonable compared to similar services, starting at only $19.95 per month for 5,000 API calls at the time of this writing. This will allow you to look up 5,000 product details per month by making API calls.
You can learn more about how to download product details, specs and links to images (e.g. for a list of UPC codes) from the Go-UPC API and documentation. While you’re welcome to query their API directly, you may need to perform more advanced work that their service doesn’t support. Our service allows you to query Go-UPC with our client, but instead of returning JSON data, we parse the response into downloadable CSV files. The key here is that we’re able to return hierarchical files that are useful for downloading relational data, where there can be more than one entry per product. As mentioned before, a good example of this would be a list of images per product.
