Steve got into data APIs way back in 2015 when he began intercepting network traffic from Tinder to reverse engineer the backend to automatically like everyone in his area.
Scraping Data
Since then, he realized his powers could be put to more productive use and began commercializing his software to help businesses scrape data from other applications.
Earlier Career
Before operating this website full-time in 2019, Steve was a Python & JavaScript Software Engineer at various NYC startups working in media and finance.
Education
Steve holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Information Science from Cornell as well.
