Download Amazon Product Data
You can scrape Amazon Product Data using the Rainforest Amazon Product Data API, and the links above on this page provide starting points for some of the most common scraping use cases we see our customers perform.
Category Scraping
If you’re interested in bulk scraping a list of products listed on Amazon, you’ll likely want to do this by category. You can see the category scraping link above for “Category Products,” just be warned that some broad categories will have a lot of products in them, and it just may not be possible to truly scrape all of them. This is because after a certain point, Amazon will stop returning search results for a specific category… e.g. they will not easily hand over their entire product catalog for a very broad category like “electronics.”
The way around this category scraping limitation is to narrow your search, either using a sub-category (more about that in the category scraping link above), or to use keyword searches, where you can limit your searches to specific brands or types of products. You can see the link above for help with this, and our service can help you scrape this data for a list of search terms (lets say you want to scrape all the cell phones from the top 4 manufacturers), e.g. you can enter a list of 4 search terms, one per line, and our software will combine all the results for you into a single CSV file.
Seller Scraping
You can also scrape products by individual sellers, which can be useful if you’re in a tight niche and you know who your competitors are… or maybe you just want to keep a closer eye on your own product listings for sale. If you don’t have a list of your immediate competitors, you can use the category scraping approach outlined above to gather the most popular products in your niche and then analyze the data to see who the top sellers are. From here, you can look up their other products to see what else is selling.
