Download Amazon Products by Category
This scraper will query the Rainforest Amazon Product Data API on your behalf, extracting out large lists of products listed on Amazon for the provided category ID. You’ll need to check the instructions for how to find the category ID, as you’ll need to provide a specific ID that Rainforest provides. You can get this ID from previous searches (e.g. doing keyword Amazon product scrapes), or from the Rainforest API category directory.
Each category will either contain sub-categories (e.g. “Televisions”) or will be an extremely specific category with no further sub-categories (e.g. “OLED Televisions”) and care called leaf nodes. The Rainforest API only supports performing keyword searches on leaf-node categories, so you will need to keep this in mind if you’re trying to find specific products within categories. If this is a problem, our “workflows” feature on the next page will allow you to run the same keyword search across multiple “leaf node” categories. So for example, if you need to search for a specific type of television matching a keyword, you can provide that keyword and then list out all of the possible leaf node categories, in which our service will run the queries to Rainforest API on your behalf and combine results together into a single CSV file.
